Thanks, Robert, for your input. I think that Jesus put it pretty straightforwardly in Matthew 7:15-20, that we'll know the true nature by the fruits that we produce. Those producing love and compassion are the good ones, while those producing hate, fear, anger, and division are not the true followers of Christ.

Dear northern spirit radio host:

Loving our neighbour as ourself is wonderful, and, more importantly, a commandment of Jesus Christ. Mr Horryat spoke of following a Jesus Christ pattern about something. We Christians should follow and obey Christ's teachings, but only Jesus Christ alone died for the sin of the world. Only Jesus has the authority to give life eternal, as He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me (Jn 14:6).

He(Jesus) who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (II Cor 5:21). This is the gospel we share with the world. Eternal life is a gift of God. We can't earn it, or give it to others. We (Christians) were bought with a price: by the precious blood of Christ Jesus. We, by faith, believe Jesus paid for our sin, and believe God has given to us eternal life; and will raise us up at the last day to live forever with Him.

The Apostle John said, He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him (Jn 3:36).
