Even though Jori is sharing history and fact, Slaves for Peanuts reads more like a novel than it does most non-fiction. In fact, one could say that Jori almost takes on the mantle of the West African bards called griots.
A bit of the culinary, evolutionary, & economic history of the peanut in West Africa, and in the lives of Jori & Mark.
